Abstract

Rhinoplasty AFRS is a disease with a varied presentation. It takes an alert clinician to identify the disease and subsequently manage the condition. Although surgical debridement remains the mainstay of treatment protocol it does not always lead to a long-term disease-free state. A fascinating disease, AFRS is mostly recalcitrant to surgery alone and requires long-term follow-up with early detection of recurrence or flare-ups. Here we will be comparing patients with early disease involvement and patients with multiple recurrences and their subsequent management. We shall gaze upon the diagnostic criteria of AFRS, review the tips and tricks in surgery, and consider various aspects of postoperative management.
